Tattoos of Memory and Resilience
Tattoos of Memory and Resilience

A documentary feature that follows grandchildren of Holocaust survivors who have made the controversial decision to tattoo their grandparents’ concentration camp numbers on their own bodies. Their bold tribute raises questions about the reenactment of trauma, transforming pain into healing, and how historical remembrance can counter the rise of hate and intolerance today.

Feature Documentary in Production.

Excerpts from Under Their Skin are featured in the exhibition What We Carry With Us presented by the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.
